In a town with more coffee shops than parking spaces, this one stands tall—elegant, inviting, and blissfully free of burnt beans masquerading as third wave sophistication. The décor hits a perfect note: classic bones with a bright, contemporary polish and just a whisper of glam. Think: Italian café meets Art Deco daydream. It’s a place where marble meets brass, where your espresso feels at home beside a polished leather banquette or a glossy white countertop. But let’s talk about the coffee—because that’s the real reason to come. This isn’t the bitter, over-roasted sludge that passes for trendy. It’s bold, yes, but silky. Intense without aggression. Full-bodied, fragrant, and undeniably Italian in its soul. A macchiato here will make you rethink your usual order elsewhere. A cappuccino will have you canceling your afternoon plans just to linger. I would give 10 stars if I could. Such a modern, chic atmosphere in this cozy little coffee shop. The coffee beans they use are probably the best coffee I've ever tasted. Many coffee shops in Motown, but this is the one you need to stop by. Great food, great coffee, great staff.

Amazing addition to Morristown located centrally to the Green. Excellent coffee, and even better service. Cinnamon and vanilla cold brew is a very tasty drink!

I go a few times every week and they are always spot on! Super kind baristas, great coffee, and I love the music they put on! The pop tarts and croissants are great too.

I came here to stump the batista. I looked her square in the eyes and ordered the most pretentious drink I could imagine: an oatmilk lavender chai latte. I was positive I puzzled her. I basked in the glory of my impossible order when it was suddenly shattered by batista announcing the fair price of my order. WHAT?!?!? They can make THAT drink? Yes, yes they can; and they did... and it was perfect. Thank you General Coffee Co.

I love stopping in and enjoying my go to White chocolate mocha, no matter which barista makes it. It’s always perfect and the service is always amazing. I love how they interact and actually ask about your day and remember what’s going on in your life!

This is definitely my favorite coffee shop. The drinks are consistently delicious and they’ve got a good selection of homemade pastries and snacks. The baristas, Dylan, Becky, and Molly, are always so friendly and warm. I could come here just for the service, but the coffee is a nice bonus.

They have really unique drink options here. I just had a cappuccino, but it was excellent. Not overly milky like a lot of places, and I love that they have a snap size option.

If you’re a coffee lover then you need to check out General Coffee Co in Morristown, NJ. Located right on South St. just a few steps from the Green. Beautiful interior, great pastry options, and specialty coffee drinks. I had the mint mojito cold brew, and it was one of the best cold brews I’ve had in a long time. General is an absolute premier coffee shop, definitely stop in.

the Best Coffee, among many fine and emerging coffee shops in Morristown. Yes, inside seating is limited (but I often have a great, comfortable cup at the counter, hanging out with other customers). More importantly, In order: The Best Barista Team. End of story :) Brian, Becky, Dylan, Mollie, Victor Juniper and team make a great, consistent quality drink of your choice - anything, full range - with a friendly welcome, a super clean and meticulous approach, every day (NTM some very cool, varied, surprising PlayLists for background that Mollie curates!). The Best Coffee Beans. I am not a "bean expert" but traveling up and down and along East Coast, no doubt this is my favorite coffee. A modern, well appointed space. A friendly and considerate clientele. Fair pricing. Some great baked goods (who is buying out the GF Morning Cookie early? I don't blame you). Make this Your Place (if you are a nice, friendly person!) Congrats to Brian, Becky and Team, GC is Fantastic! And a special thanks to Becky, who is an awesome barista, friend and has taken care of so many of us over years in Morristown.
